Imagine you have a lemon. How yellow is it? How ripe? Are the dimples deep or is it more smooth? Whats the temperature? Has it been in the fridge or has it been on the counter? How round is it, is it more oval? Now imagine cutting into that lemon. What sound does the knife make when it slices through? Can you hear the juice squirt out? Can you see it? Where does it go? Can you feel it? What color is it? Now pick up one half of the sliced lemon and put it to your nose, what does it smell like? Squeeze a little into the palm of your hand and taste the juice...is your mouth watering yet?

Recently, we moved parts of socialanxietysupport.com to new domains. There were several reasons for this. For one, all those features like chat required that you first find socialanxietysupport.com, then find the chat room. Now even though chat has been at it's new domain for less than a month, if you want to search for a social anxiety chat room you will already find it on the front page of just about every search engine that matters. Eventually, it will be #1 on just about everyone of them.

Another thing we considered was that having to be a member of SAS in order to use those features was not ideal. Much better that anyone with social anxiety be able to find and use them without them being dependent on SAS.

There was also the fact that those sites being part of SAS meant they were on the same server and were using resources that SAS could ill afford to spare. The message board alone is quite a drain on a server. Now all those sites are on a different server and SAS and the board has a server all to itself.

Also, if there ever comes a time when Becky and I are no longer able to keep up with SAS, it will be much easier to pass those sites, and SAS if need be, to others who have the time and willingness to run them.

SAS Magazine

The SAS Magazine replaced the SAS Newsletter. All SAS members are welcome to submit any non-controversial, original material, whether it's poetry, personal stories, photos, drawings, writings, or videos. Check back often as the magazine evolves!
